OK Worshipful, here's another one for you:

I was in the process of typing up my list of books for the library when I
thought of a question we haven't addressed yet-- What type of books are we
including?

Traditional Masonic Books (the craft & it's symbols, etc.) are a no brainer,
and should be included. But what about quasi-Masonic books, books on
spiritualism, religion, mysticism, and so forth?

I have several spiritual books that aren't Masonic, but any Mason would
benefit greatly from reading them. Should these types of books be included?
My instincts say yes for the betterment of our lodge members; however, I
think we could be getting in to some Grand Lodge gray area.

When we started putting together the website, Matt had said that Grand Lodge
only allows us to put links to official Masonic sites on our webpage. The
reasoning was that the conspiracy theorists out there would'nt be able to
say "Ahaaa, they have a link to Roslyn Chapel's website, so they must in
fact have the holy grail!!!"--and so forth.

So, should we play it safe and list ONLY books about Masonry, or should we
extend our library to any book that would benefit our membership. If we go
with the latter, I think we have two options--1. Put a disclaimer on the
website that the books listed below have no affiliation with/reflection of
the grand lodge or masonry in general (or something of the sort). 2.
Somehow put our library list in a "private" section of the webpage--or just
keep it hardcopy.

What say yee?

I'll send my list of books based on your guidance.
